The News widget delivers the latest stories from a wide range of topics right to your dashboard. Pick a topic and browse headlines without leaving your start page.

#How to Use

#Choosing a Topic

When you first add the widget, choose from one of ten news topics:

  • U.S. - top U.S. news stories
  • World - international news
  • Business - business and finance
  • Technology - tech industry news
  • Entertainment - movies, music, and pop culture
  • Gaming - video game news
  • Vehicles - automotive news
  • Sports - sports coverage
  • Science - science and research
  • Health - health and wellness

Click a topic to load it. The widget title updates automatically to match your selection (for example, "Technology News").

You can change the topic at any time from the widget settings.

#Reading Stories

Stories appear in a grid or list layout. Each story shows:

  • Title - the article headline
  • Source icon - the favicon of the source website
  • Image - a preview image (if available and enabled)

Click any story to open the full article in a new tab.

The widget shows up to 6 stories by default. Click View All News to expand and see all available stories.

#Context Menu

Right-click (or tap and hold) a story to see quick actions:

  • Open in New Tab - open the article in a new browser tab
  • Copy Link URL - copy the article's web address
  • Share Link - share the article using your device's share menu
