The Subreddit widget brings posts from your favorite Reddit communities to your dashboard. Enter a subreddit name or pick from popular presets, and browse the latest posts without leaving your start page.

#How to Use

#Choosing a Subreddit

When you first add the widget, enter a subreddit name in the input field. You can type it in several ways:

  • Just the name - like programming
  • With the r/ prefix - like r/programming
  • A full Reddit URL - like reddit.com/r/programming

Or pick from one of the built-in presets:

  • Technology, World News, Science, Movies, Gaming, Music, Sports, Books, Space, Programming

Click a preset button to load it instantly.

#Browsing Posts

Posts appear in a grid or list layout. Each post shows:

  • Title - the post headline
  • Image - a thumbnail (if available)
  • Date - when the post was submitted (shown as relative time, like "5 hours ago")

Click any post to open the Reddit discussion in a new tab.

#Context Menu

Right-click (or tap and hold) a post to see quick actions:

  • Open in New Tab - open the post in a new browser tab
  • Copy Link URL - copy the post's web address
  • Share Link - share the post using your device's share menu

#View All

The widget shows the 6 most recent posts by default. Click View All to expand and see all available posts.

#Widget Settings

  • Show Image - display post thumbnails. Turned on by default.
  • News Layout - choose between Grid (default) and List view.
  • News Style - set the look of post cards: Clear, Outline, or Solid (default).
  • Subreddit - change the subreddit at any time by entering a new name or URL.

#Tips

  • Posts update automatically when you open your dashboard, so you're always seeing the latest content.
  • Use Grid layout for a visual overview with images, or List layout for a compact, scannable feed.
  • Add multiple Subreddit widgets to follow different communities side by side - like r/programming and r/science on the same page.
