GitHub Releases Widget

The GitHub Releases widget lets you follow new releases from any GitHub repository. Enter a repo URL and the widget shows you the latest version updates, so you never miss an important release.

#Adding a Repository

1. Enter a GitHub repository URL in the input field - for example, https://github.com/facebook/react.
2. Click Save or press Enter.
3. The widget fetches the release feed and displays the latest releases.

You can also pick from built-in presets like React, Vue.js, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, Rust, Go, Vite, and Bun - just click a preset button to load it instantly.

#Browsing Releases

Releases appear in a grid or list layout. Each release shows:

• Title - the release version or tag name
• Date - when the release was published (shown as relative time, like "3 days ago")

Click any release to open it on GitHub and read the full release notes.

#Context Menu

Right-click (or tap and hold) a release to see quick actions:

• Open in New Tab - open the release page on GitHub
• Copy Link URL - copy the release's web address
• Share Link - share the release using your device's share menu

#Widget Settings

• News Layout - choose between Grid and List (default) view.
• News Style - set the look of release cards: Clear, Outline, or Solid (default).
• GitHub Repository - the repository URL. Change it to switch to a different repository.

#Tips

• You only need the repository URL - the widget automatically finds the releases feed.
• Releases update automatically when you open your dashboard, so you're always seeing the latest versions.
• Use List layout for a compact view, or Grid layout for a more visual overview.
• Add multiple GitHub Releases widgets to track different repositories on the same page.
